About Cornell, Markham 

Cornell is in NE part of the City of Markham bounded by 16th Avenue, Highway 407, Donald Cousens Parkway and Ninth Line.

The name was the idea of a local lawyer, Paul Mingay, whose family  roots can be traced to a distant relative and founder of Cornell University

The community is built on principals of New Urbanism, which include walkability, connectivity, sustainability, mixed-use and diversity, providing a higher quality of life for residents, and more.
